Class Description
This dynamic Curtis Wednesday Acting Class is designed for students who want to strengthen their acting skills while exploring bold characters and creative storytelling.
Using scenes and material inspired by two theatrical works, students will dive into character, motivation, and performance technique:
- Toy Store: Where Toys Come to Life – a playful, high-energy exploration of character movement, imagination, and comedic timing.
- Alice in Wonderland: The Queen’s Point of View – a dramatic and witty reimagining that focuses on power, perspective, and character choices.
Throughout the session, students will focus on:
- Acting fundamentals and scene work
- Character development and emotional truth
- Voice, movement, and stage presence
- Confidence, creativity, and storytelling
This class is engaging, creative, and challenging—perfect for students ready to grow as actors while still having fun.
The session concludes with a final performance at the Dunedin Community Center, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills on stage for a live audience.
